Get Connected!
Several groups at Living Grace will be doing some unstructured activities, things we like to do, instead of “churchy activities” normally associated with church groups. Once a month each group will decide what kind of get together to have. They will go fishing, or go shopping, or float a river, etc.
These groups will fluctuate from month to month as people determine the things they desire to do. It is in these life-on-life situations that we truly become members of the same family outside of the walls of the church.
Times of fellowship create bonds with one another in the love of Christ that last – sometimes for our entire lives.
Best of all, group activities are times when non-church members can join us to see that we are real people, with likes and dislikes, joys and struggles common to each other. In doing things together we learn to encourage one another.
While doing our best to express true Christianity, we’re not perfect. St. Paul, who wrote a great deal of the New Testament, said it best when he said, “I know what is right and what is wrong. I do the things I know I shouldn’t be doing. And, I don’t do the things I know I should do” (paraphrase Romans 7:15).
We are people who sometimes fail or fall down. However, as redeemed people our faith is acknowledged in our thankful attitude and in our prayer life.
Living Grace is people who understand that every day we live in God’s grace.
We share our life in Christ because He shares His life with us. |
